My Home

I thought that my house would just be a place to live, I didn’t understand how my seemingly normal house would grow and flourish along with me. Throughout my childhood, I started to appreciate my house for what it’s worth and realized that this house has become my one and only home. Have you seen my clustered bedroom? Each little gadget or stuffy is a small fragment of my life’s amazing adventures holding a precious meaning to me that can’t be replenished. It’s like seeing into a world where I obtained many magical and special memories of the places that I’ve been. Do you see the furniture in my home? It isn’t just a couch or a bed, every decoration in my home has built up memories with my family, filled with laughter, smiles and happiness. These memories are what makes my house a true home, like the time when I cuddled up on my couch with popcorn and blankets to watch my first movie or the magical way that my mom tucks me into bed letting me relax and unwind for the next day ahead. Do you spot the picture frames in my home? These aren’t just pictures, they capture the comforting feeling and remind my family and I about the amazing adventures we've had together that we will never forget. My family and I will never be too far from home, because home isn’t just a place on a map or a shelter from the weather, a home is full of happy memories that creates a feeling of belonging that cannot be replaced. This feeling will forever live and be nestled in my heart. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for this opportunity to express my feelings about home and spread this feeling to those who need it more.
