Ava's Home

I love my home because it is cozy, peaceful, relaxing, fun, and full of warmth. I always feel safe here, and it’s a place where I can truly be myself. My home is warm and welcoming. To me, home means making memories, feeling protected, and having a special space where I belong. It keeps me warm in the winter and cool in the summer, which makes it the perfect place to relax and unwind. I love the smells in my house, especially when my mom is cooking something delicious or when my dad barbeques. After basketball practice, nothing feels better than coming home to the smell of dinner filling the air. My family always eats together at the dinner table, where we share stories about our day at school or work and laugh about funny moments. One of my favorite family traditions is on New Year’s Eve, when we all sleep in the living room in our pajamas and watch movies together until midnight. On weekends, I play with my neighbors, who are all different ages. We have so much fun—during winter, we build snow slides, and in the fall, we make huge piles of leaves to jump in. I feel lucky to live near such great neighbours because they make weekends exciting and full of happiness. I also have two brothers who love to play with me, and together we make wonderful memories every day. This is the first house I’ve ever lived in, and it will always hold a special place in my heart. My neighbourhood is peaceful and calm, which makes home feel even more comforting. A house isn’t just a building—it is a place filled with love, laughter, and belonging. My home feels like a big, warm hug, and that’s why I believe everyone deserves one.
