What my home means to me

I love my home. It’s a place where I feel loved and cared for, no matter what I do. Having a bad day at school doesn’t change that. Mistakes don’t matter, because everyone makes them. We try to learn together and learn from each other’s mistakes. My home isn’t just in my house. Sometimes, when we’re taking road trips we stop at a motel, after some fussing and prepping, just because my family is there makes it feel like home. I know that they care no matter what. So in the end, it’s not the size of the house, or the quality of the air or even the temperature. It’s the realization that I’m not alone, because after everything, home is still a refuge I can come back to.
