My Home

I am an only child, and my home life is special in many ways. Since I do not have brothers or sisters, my house is usually quiet and peaceful. This helps me focus on my schoolwork and enjoy my time at home. My parents spend a lot of time with me, and I am thankful for their love and support. At home, I have my own space where I can watch YouTube, draw, and listen to music. I have learned to be independent because I often entertain myself. I like drawing, reading books, and playing games. Being an only child has taught me how to manage my time and take responsibility for my chores, such as cleaning my room and helping around the house. Sometimes people think only children are lonely, but that is not always true. I talk to my dad lot, and we do many activities together, like swimming, watching shows, and going for a bike ride around boulevard lake. I also have friends at school who I enjoy spending time with. Even though my cousins live out of town in Grand Prairie, we still see each other by going to terrace bay and meeting at my grandparents’ house. When my cousins visit, it feels exciting because the house becomes louder and more energetic. However, I also enjoy the calm feeling when it is just me and my parents. Living as an only child has helped me become more confident and comfortable spending time on my own. Being an only child also helps me appreciate family time. I understand how important it is to be kind, respectful, and thankful. My home is a place where I feel safe, loved, and supported. Overall, being an only child has shaped who I am and has taught me valuable lessons that will help me in the future By Brenna
