This Is What Home Means To Me

The difference between a house and a home is a house is just a place but a home is a place where you make memories. In your home, you and your family live and spend time together. You also share in your home and you belong in your home. Home isn’t just a place where you look at and drive past. Home is a place where you live and it’s where you belong. It is a place where you make memories. It is also where you tell jokes and laugh at them. My home is a place where me and my family live and we have so much fun together. Every Friday night me and my family watch a movie together, we sing and play together, we laugh together and my mom cooks for us. When it is someone's birthday they get to pick a restaurant to go to and we eat and celebrate there. When it is Christmas time my Mom loves playing Christmas music like “last Christmas” and she loves to watch Christmas movies like the Grinch but her favourite Christmas movie is home alone and I also like it to because I like the story line. What makes my home special is that I could sleep in my home and I play board games with my family and it’s where I belong. I smell my dad cooking steak, I hear my brothers laughing and I see my mom taking care of my baby sister. I also hear crying from my sister because she's not getting what she wants and me and my brothers are not spending time with her. My favourite place in my home is my bedroom. I really like my bedroom because it makes me happy and it has all my clothes and toys. It makes me feel cozy and it brings back memories from my old house. My room smells like fresh air because I always have my windows opened. When I touch my bed I feel soft. I hear the wind going by. One moment at home that I will always remember is once I was playing in my backyard with my brothers and my family and I were standing on the edge of my sand pit. Suddenly, I fell on my brother and he fell on my other brother and he fell on the sand and we were all laughing and it was so fun. All the memories I share with my family is what home means to me.
