What home means to me

Home is not just a place. It covers our heads, So we can relax, And lay our weary heads on our beds. Through rain and snow, It stays steady. Whenever there’s a storm, It is always ready. It shields us from the bitter cold outside, So we stay warm on the inside. It never goes anywhere, Never have to look for it, for it is always there. Everything we have now Would not have a place, If it was not For this safe space. We walked all over its floors, It still shielded me and my family too. Maybe we should all take a pause, And say thank you!
