A Home Everyone Needs

To me, home isn’t just a house or an apartment. It’s also not just a place with rooms. A home is a place to feel safe and loved, a place where you feel warmth and comfort too. But home could also be your family because in your family, you probably feel loved and cared for in the same way your home makes you feel. When I’m in my bed, playing games with my brother, eating with my family, or saying goodnight to my parents, I know I am home. Some things that I hear in my home are my mom cooking delicious dishes, my dad calling my relatives in the Philippines, and my brother watching television and laughing. Whenever I am at home, I always smell a candle burning, cooking, and scented markers that my brother is using. In my home, I see the pictures hung up on the wall that hold the memories of me and my brother’s milestones, my family spending time with each other, and all the achievements from my family that we got along the way. In my home, I always feel loved, comforted and cared by my family who were always there for me. Sometimes I feel this overwhelming love just by being in my home like a bond that can’t be broken. One thing I really love about my home is that my family always manages to spend time together. I think all you really need in life is a home that you feel loved and cared in. But if someone doesn’t have a loving home, try to show them how it feels to be loved and cared for. Whoever is reading this, I hope you have a home or a place to feel safe, warmth, love, and care.
