The REAL meaning of Home

The Real Meaning Of Home By: Mehak Kaur Ghuman Home is more than just walls and a roof. It is the place where I feel happiest and safest. The moment I walk inside, everything feels brighter, and my worries fade away. Home is where I can laugh loudly, play freely, sing off-key, or just sit quietly and feel calm. Every evening, my family gathers together, and the house feels warm and full of happiness. The smell of my mom’s cooking fills the air, and it is more than food it feels like love in every bite. Sometimes she hums while cooking, and it makes the house feel cozy. We sit at the table, sharing stories from our day, laughing at silly moments, and talking about small things, like funny stuff at school or little surprises. Those moments make home feel really special. The people in my home mean everything to me. My mom helps me when school is hard, and her kind words make me feel brave. My dad and I spend time outside practicing little things, like running or tossing a ball, laughing at mistakes and cheering each other on. My sister is my partner-in-fun. She is always by my side, and we giggle, share secrets, and turn normal days into fun adventures. Home isn’t about being big or fancy. It is about love, care, and feeling safe. That is why I’m proud my school supports Habitat for Humanity, because everyone deserves a home that feels full of love and happiness.
