Home Isn’t Just Where You Sleep

Home isn’t just where you sleep, home is a special place just for you. There will be no place in the world like home. Home carries love, home makes your heart feel warm, home carries unique memories, some heartbreaking, some very happy. Every part of your home has a special different memory attached to it. Your home is your safe space. Home is a no-judgement place. You can do whatever you want, and you will know that no one will judge you. Home is love. Love builds up memories, love can be amazing in many ways, love can transform a bad day into a fabulous day. Love can be very small things, playing games together or maybe just giving someone a compliment can turn their day around. Love can make someone feel safe and accepted. Love doesn't always have to be physical, love can also be social. Social love is love from words. Love can build up strong, happy, and unforgettable memories. Any building can be a house, but to make it a home is very difficult. To make a house a home, you probably need memories. With memories, you can relate to your past, remember what happened to you, and know what you used to do, or special memories can just be you and someone else just in a happy moment. Home is a no-judgment zone where I can safely be myself and learn from my mistakes. This sanctuary acts like a protective umbrella, giving me a safe place to grow, learn, and play. Home is the one spot on Earth where you never have to pretend. You can wear your favourite pajamas all day, dance to loud music, or cry when you're having a bad day, and you know you won't be judged. At home, you have freedom to do things. At home, you do not have to pretend to be someone that you are truly not. You can be your real self, I don’t have rules at home that I have to follow at school or when I am somewhere else to fit in with everybody. I have to talk a certain way or act a certain way, but at home I can be my true self. I don't have to talk a certain way or act a certain way at home, I feel free. At home, there are also some responsibilities. You might think that responsibilities at home might just be boring, but responsibilities at home will prepare you for the future. Like when you get your own home, you will know how to deal with things. Plus, if you do some responsibilities, you will become more responsible and independent, and this will help you when you get older, because the older you get, the more responsibilities you get. This what home means to me is a lot more than just some builds and furniture. Home is the most important place on Earth for me. Home is where you don’t have to worry about getting judged. Home is where you feel accepted. Home is where I have freedom. You don’t have to pretend to be someone that I am not. I can be my true self. At home, there are some responsibilities that might be a little bit boring, but these responsibilities will help me in the future. That is what home means to me.
