When I think Of Home

When I think of home I go very crazy! Home is a place where I can express my feelings more than usual. I can express if I am happy, sad or have other feelings. In this essay I will talk about how I feel about home and what it means to me. Also, I will be sharing how my behaviour improved. Home is a safe place where I can express my feelings and feel comfortable. I feel like expressing my feelings more at home because I want to let it out so I can calm down more easily. I can get very giggly when I am happy. When I am mad, I roll on the ground and scream as much as I want. When I act like this at home, my family lets me let it out and I don't get in trouble. Outside is different because if I do the same, people will think I'm rude and disrespectful. When I feel these feelings my parents say it's normal. I also learn more about how to control my emotions at home because my parents talk to me about how to control the feelings I feel. When I get upset, I have my room to calm down and I breathe in and out to calm down. I don't feel like doing it outside because there is no safe place or a place to get alone time. Sometimes, my brother feels the same way. If he needs help calming down, I tell him a way to calm down called box breathing. Box breathing is a type of breathing where you breathe in for four seconds and out for four seconds over, and over, until you calm down. Also since I improved my behaviour I can now better control my emotions. For example in Minecraft, my friend (as a prank or joke) set my building on fire. Instead of getting mad at them, I remembered what my dad said "Don't get mad, calm down and tell them you did not like that." So I told them I did not like that and then my friend helped me rebuild. I think of home as a pace where I learn the right behaviour and express my feelings as much as I want. I think of it as a place where I get support from my mom and dad. I also think of it as a place where my parents give me a foundation to grow from. A place like home is a place where I am taught things that are good. There is no other place like my home.
