What Home is to Me

To some people home is a place on a map. Or a warm cozy bed, Or a nice family dinner. To most people home is a place you feel safe. Somewhere you could grow roots in and stay forever. To me though, home has a whole different meaning. It’s not the places I’m in, but the people I’m in it with. It’s finding the joy in the small things and relishing the happy memories. When I’m with my friends, it’s every second that counts. Every small or large smile and every shared laugh. Home is where I’m happy and safe. It is something that stays through the highs and the lows, no matter the situation. Home is more than a house, it’s a group of your chosen family. So no matter how far I go, I can always be home.
