Home is where Heart is Happy!

Home is more than a house. It is the place where I feel safe and cared for. When I think about home, I think about my family, my room, and the moments I spend there. Home is where I wake up and start my day and where I come back to sleep. At home, I can be myself. I can talk freely, be loud, dance, sing, and enjoy pretend play. I like watching movies and playing games with my family and cousins. It is where I feel accepted, loved and relaxed. My home is also where I learn life skills, being kind, responsible, and respectful. I cook with my mom, clean after myself, make my bed, and help my dad shovel snow. I like keeping our house clean and organized because it feels welcoming and becomes a good place for my friends to play. I make memories at home by doing art projects and helping design parts of the house. We decorate our home for festivals, and Diwali and Christmas are my favourites. We invite friends over to celebrate together, and I enjoy it when our house is filled with people, music and gifts. My grandparents lived with us, and I enjoyed spending time with them. After they passed away, their room reminds me of the moments we shared. My mom says homes remind us that we are loved and are places of peace. She grew up in a home in India and says she will always remember it. I feel the same way. No matter where I go in life, my home will always mean the most to me.
