What is a Home?

What is a home? Many say a home is wherever Their loved ones are, Others say home is where families create happy memories together. All my life I thought home was a place That this is a building where I can be safe But now I found a clue, and I know that wasn't true Home is not a place with rooms, With a garden full of blooms Home, is a person who gives you a smile, Even if you’re really tired Home isn't a place where I feel overwhelmed It’s a person who cares about me And it's a person who looks after me Home is a person who holds you, when You’re falling apart A person you gave your heart to. Home can be family, friends or a lover It's not something undercover. Home is somewhere i can sleep instead of math class if you know what I mean Home is a place where I don’t feel trapped Because It’s a person who makes it go all away So home isn't just always a place It doesn't require four walls or a roof Sometimes all home is, Is a smile or being wrapped by someone’s welcoming arms I’m so precise But it took me so long And finally I realize what a home is. That you are my home.
