Home isn't just a place

Home feels like a coat keeping me warm everyday. It's not just our house; it’s the walls that are like journals, keeping the memories we make. It’s where we can add on new memories to the ones that we have already made together. The heart of our home is the kitchen where we make messes, talk about our days, we play games, and the food we share. We made big changes to our house and I always missed the old house, but I now have adjusted to the changes we made. It’s the people and the things we do that made me more comfortable in the new house. We kept most of the stuff from the old house and it’s either in our rooms on the walls or stored away. Home is like a torch, lighting the way for success in life reminding me that I have a family who cares about me and are great role models that want me to be like them in the future, happy and have a loving family who supports me in life. Home feels like a shelter keeping me warm in the coldest of weather on rainy days or when it snows. When it’s a rainy day I like to get cozy under my blankets, sit on my couch and play clash royale on my tablet all day long. My favorite cozy moments are when I get up and eat cookies instead of fruit and vegetables and bring the cookies to the couch.
