Home is a Place I can Always go Back to

For me Home is a place where family, warmth and support live. Home is where me and my family can always be together. My home is full of warmth. My home has everything from love and memories, to laughter. My family has supported me through thick to thin, and that has built into my home. My house has now always felt like it is supporting me. My family has always lived in my house, and I never want that to change. My family has always been together, sometimes we leave each other but we always come back. When I talk with my older sister it feels like it could go on forever, just us chatting and nothing else. I feel like my cats are a part of my family, even though they are just animals to the naked eye, they are so much more than that. My cats are my family and they show that all the time like when they snuggle with us and don't leave us or when they follow us around so that they can be with us. Another really cute thing they do is, they sit at the bench beside my window and wait for us to come home. My cats also snuggle together showing sibling love. All of this is family to me. Warmth is something that always comes to me at home, and I love that feeling. I always feel warmth when I am cooking with my family, from the steam from the pot to the warmth that I feel by just being with my family. Whenever I get home after riding my bus I touch my doorknob and I feel a wave of relief wash over me. When I go to my room and snuggle up in my pink fluffy blanket I feel so happy and warm. That is how I feel warmth. Support thrives in my house. My house is always so filled with support because my family is supportive. When I am home it feels like there are gates trying to protect me from the danger of the outside world. When I tell my family about things that are hard for me they always comfort me and tell me things that make me feel better. They sometimes even do gestures to make me feel better like buying something for me or taking me for a walk to clear my head. All of these things have built into what my house is, which includes support. That is what the meaning of home is to me. I also want to say how I am so glad that we have Habitat for Humanity. It is so cool how they help people like that by giving people homes, and even starting all of this, I just think it is so amazing.
