Home is always with me

To me home has never been a place or a building. Home is a feeling. Home is family, love, and it is security. Family is one of the most important parts of home to me. When we swim at our cottage with my cousins and my grandparents, I feel happy because I’m with my family. When I’m at home and my dog’s tail is banging lightly on my face, or when my parents are cooking in the kitchen, I am surrounded with gratitude and happiness. To me, having my family by my side and knowing that everything will be fine as long they’re there, is stronger than any building could ever be. Feeling loved by my family makes me feel at home. My love for my home and my family is so strong. When I get home from my school and my dog wags his tail, it makes me feel loved because I know that he is wagging his tail because he loves to see us. When my brother wants to play soccer or draw with me it makes me feel loved because I know that he wants to do something with me because I’m his sister. Whenever I feel loved, I carry home with me. Security makes me feel safe wherever I am. Knowing that I’m safe in my home makes me feel content wherever I am. My dog always being there makes me feel even more safe because I know he would never let anything happen to us. Home is wherever I feel safe and wherever I feel safe, is home. My home is many things to me and my family. Home is special and important in different ways to different people. To me home is much more than just a building.
