A Home is not just a House

Home isn't a building with a pointy roof and walls or a place that you eat, sleep, and live with your family. Home is love, safety, and memories. A home should always be waiting for you. The memories you make at home could be many things, but to me memories that I make at home are things maybe like playing with my pet hamster or drawing with my sister. I think of it as the memories you make is like a puzzle of home, and each memory is like a piece of the puzzle being put into place. Home is a safe place you can always come back to. Like a fluffy blanket, it will always be warm and safe. Sometimes I even feel the safety of home when I feel my Hamsters' soft white fur brushing against my hands. A home is a place where love is created, you can feel it. It feels like a hug from someone you love or maybe it feels like eating freshly baked cookies but when I think of the love that comes from home I think of my mom baking cookies and my soft blankets. Sometimes the love of home is like a big soft marshmallow landing on the roof of your house but the marshmallow is filled with hugs, and the marshmallow is golden on the inside. A home really is more than a house or a hotel that you go to every weekend. A home is where your family is at, where love is at and where memories are made. That is the meaning of home.
