What Home Means To Me

For each and every one of us, home carries a different meaning, shaped by memories, family and comfort. Within those walls, we gather the moments that shape who we are. Home is a place where memories are made. Whether it’s going on family vacations, or even playing pass with my brother, I will forever be grateful for the loving memories that home has given me. Remembering old memories always puts a smile on my face when I'm down. Such as birthday parties, Christmas mornings, movie nights and even just having conversations at the dinner table. I will forever remember the loving memories that I have made in between these walls. Without family I can't feel home. Family makes me feel loved, it makes me feel cared for and most importantly, it makes me feel like I'm home. Even if my mom is having a stressful time, she still shows up everyday to be the loving, caring and affectionate mom that she is. She always gives me tight loving hugs in the morning that makes my heart beat like thunder. My dad has always been my biggest inspiration and he’s also been a big part of my life. The amount of hard work and care he's put into our family is astonishing. My dad will always amaze me. My two older siblings have been like parents to me. They’ve defended me, comforted me when I was upset and hung out with me when I needed company. Home is where I feel most comfortable. It's where we cuddle and hug watching movies as the snow falls. It’s a place where you can be yourself and talk about your worries. Home is where you feel accepted for who you truly are . I will always be myself at home.
