What I Think of Home.

I have always thought that home is more than a place we sleep, I think home is a place where we all feel safe, loved, and where we make lots of memories. I think all those 3 things make home more than a building. Feeling safe is one of the most important things that makes home anywhere. I could be feeling safe at a friend's house or at a grandparents house. Safety is with people like my friends and family. Being loved is very important. I'm very lucky that I'm loved and supported by my family, like how if I'm not doing well on a test they say it's ok and give me a hug then they would help me with the project, or if I was sad about losing a basketball game they will always understand and say that I will win next time my parents are always there to give me a bit of love when I need it. Memories can also be outside of home like my trips to Florida or Mexico or even when we go outside for sledding, they are all memories that make me feel at home. Memories make me feel good when I'm asleep. I dream of my first win of the season or a time that I have spent with my family going to the movies or anywhere else. So in conclusion I realized that home is way more than just a building it is memories, family and love. I realized this by participating in this contest and I am so happy that Habitat for Humanity has been building homes for people who need the shelter.
