Home Is Like a Hug

To me home is not just a building. It’s a place where memories are made and cherished. Sometimes the world and the people in it are cold and unforgiving, but when I step into my home I am with my people in my place. Home is different for everyone. My home holds the feelings of love, comfort and safety. On weekends I play with my neighbour. I am so lucky to live so close to a friend. If I didn't live so close to her I would be very bored and lonely on weekends. In my dining room my parents serve dishes that taste wonderful. In my living room we play games and I feel like I can never not belong. My room is like my safe place where I can take a break from the busyness of life. In my home I can be whoever I want to be. In my home I live with my loving parents, silly sister and cute dog. We have lots of memories in my home. I used to live in a different house but we moved and I am okay with that because to me home is wherever my family is. My home is very special to me. Everybody deserves to have a home that they know they can come back to after a long day, because home is like a hug.
