Why I love my home

My home is a place where I can think, I can feel the feelings that come to me. The place where I can cozy up by the fire with my puppy and reflect on everything that happened in my day whether it's good or bad. My home is a place where I can play. I can invite friends over to my special place. I love holding memories in my hands and dancing with them in my room. In my living room, I like to play scrabble or do puzzles with my brother. My home isn't just a house, it is a place where I belong along with my family, a place where I can think of all the birthdays and dinners that I sat at the table and talked away. I have a smile on my face when I think of all the rainy days I splished and splashed all day. I lay on the ground and look at the sky and say thank you for my home and life. A rush of adrenalin runs through my body when I get home from school and walk in the door. I run to my room and take a deep breath. When the air runs through my lungs, it makes me feel better. It makes me feel like I just woke up from a dream, so that is why I love my home. My home is a place where I belong. Thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for helping families in need.
