Home is more than a house

Home is more than a house. A house is built with bricks, concrete and wood. A home is built with a warm feeling deep in your heart, laughter, memories, comfort, joy, happiness and a glue that sticks us all together. When a house is first built, the house may look basic, but a home is built with personal decorations, family traditions, routines and childhood memories that fill the house with joy. The pictures on the walls show and represent funny happy and moments captured through life that’s what makes it special. As I walk through the kitchen, I am delighted by an amazing smell flowing and breezing through the air. Bouncing off my nose the scent is from my mothers amazing cooking. As we sit down at the dinner table it’s not just about the food, it’s about the hard work our parents do to cook for us and the jokes and the stories we share about our day and the gratitude we share. My home is not just a house. My home is me. It’s my childhood, my memories, my family and my favorite place to be.
