More Than Bricks: The True Meaning of Home

A house can be made of bricks, wood, concrete, or mud, but a home is made of something much more important. Home is the place where I feel safe, loved, and can be who I am. A home does not have to have spiralling staircases or long dinner tables; a home can be anything from a cave to a boat or even a single room. Home is a place where one should feel loved and be at peace. A House can have a kitchen all grand and amazing with a long dining table and special chefs, but a real kitchen brings together family and friends. It is a place where memories and stories are shared. A home really does not have to have a living room where there is an alluring sofa, it can be as simple as a compact chair or even a worn sofa. A home is not complete without a place to study, it can be an entire room or just a small desk, but both have similarities; they both are used to study, no matter what the style. A magnificent house can have a splendid bedroom with a closet and a bed, but a bedroom does not need four walls. Sometimes, it is just a small bed where someone feels safe enough to sleep. This is what home means to me, a place to learn, grow, and make memories.
