Home Is My Shield

If I were a knight, home would be my shield. Everywhere I go, I always think of home. In the kitchen, my mom, is cooking with love! You can smell the food before she’s even done. In my bedroom, I peacefully sleep, I’m warm, I’m cozy, and I don’t make a peep! In the lounge (living room), I play games with my family nearly every day. I’m so happy, I smile wide. While eating dinner, in the dining room, I laugh between bites, and eat delicious food! You see, a home isn’t just a place, it’s what happens with the people inside! In a house, you have a kitchen, but, in a home, you have delicious food! In a house, you may sleep, but, in a home, you peacefully dream. In a house, you may rest on a sofa, but in a home, you may have fun with family and friends. In a house, there’s a dining room, in a home, there’s laughing and memories, and delicious food. You see, a home isn’t just a place, what matters isn’t the memories, it’s the people that you make the memories with! After all, you don’t even need a house or structure to have a home. Make sure you love your family for what they are and be grateful for what you have, because some people have it worse than you do. Everybody is amazing for what they are, including you! Make sure you treat everyone how they deserve to be treated, no matter who they are or what they believe in. Everyone in and outside of your home should be treated like they are your friend. If you are being treated unfairly, there’s a lot of people you can tell and lots of people that support you. Remember, a home isn’t just a place.
