Home

Home is not just a place or a building. It is not just some random structure with four walls and a roof. It’s a magical place where you bond with family and friends. The smells, the sounds, and the sights make me feel like i'm in my comfort zone. My parents are in the military, so I have had to move around because of their work. I’ve had to move away from my friends and then make new ones in the new city. It can be very hard to leave that all behind, but even though I move around so much, no matter where I go, I still feel like I'm at home because I'm with my family. When I feel alone, my house is not my home, but I can just go and talk with my family. Even just being around them is enough. When my parents get deployed, it feels like a piece of my home is gone. Even though I know that they are coming back, I still feel the separation of my family. When they get back home, I experience a magical feeling of love for my family. All of the fun activities we do together, to the amazing trips we take around the world, and all the small but beautiful things I do with my family makes my home complete. No matter where I go, I will always remember that my family is my home. That's what my home means to me.
