What is Home

Home is a sanctuary where security, love, and safety is found. Home is not just where you live, home is where you feel the most comfortable, loved and protected – it could be your cousin's house or maybe even the Library. A house is where you live, eat and have fun – a home is where you feel you want to be, and have fun. Home might not be your house – it could be the place that you like most. Home is love, laughter and hope. The kitchen of my home is always filled with the scent of food. My sitting room is always filled with laughter and fun. My dining room is always filled with chewing mouths and jokes. My room is always filled with snoring and talking too. My basement is filled with lego and is also filled with adventure. My moms room is filled with an everlasting flow of love. Home is a place where it’s okay to cry, a place where you never, ever lie. Home is where it is okay to tell secrets. A house is where there are rooms after rooms, and has bricks after bricks, but a home is different. A home is the love, security and care of a house.Home is the heart of a house and the house is the body of a home. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for helping build houses for people in need and making people feel home.
