What Home Means to Me

Home to me is not just a place to stay, home is full of happiness and comfort. A place to feel safe and protected. A place where I can’t be judged where warm food is placed on the table. Home is a favorable environment where I have a place to relax and express my feelings. A place I can sleep. Where other kids would kill to be. A home is not to take for granted. It’s really a special place to be. Where memories are made and love is shared. A simple place where I feel safe. A place where I feel loved and cared for. Home is a place where I don't have to pretend to be someone else. Somewhere I can truly be myself. And have space from everyone else. Now a home is a big responsibility, but for some people that isn't an affordable accessibility. The feeling of trust. Safe from violence having reliance in your loved ones. Home is for bonding to feel vulnerable. Because at home you really mean something. Home is not for riotry, so don't worry about the variety, because home is a place away from anxiety. A place where I don't have to pretend to be somebody else. Somewhere I can truly be myself. That’s why I’m here to tell you, that home is much more than just a house.
