The Meaning of Home

A house is a place you live, But a home is somewhere you make memories and spend time with people you love most. A home doesn’t even have to be a house. It can be someone you love or a happy place in your mind. Stereotypically, yes a house that you live in is your “home” but when you think about it If that can be your home then what can’t, nothing! A home is all of your imagination, anything you can dream of. A home to me is my family, my cats (especially when they play with my hair), and my friends. Yes, I know that is a very common answer but that doesn’t mean it's not true. I could also say my home is the building I live in, it is a nice home fit for three, but when I say that I don't exactly come from the heart. Home is a feeling, a sense of happiness in the air. Home is a feeling that can’t be described in a word. It's a burst of exhilaration vibrating through your bones. One by one you feel a shock. It makes you feel safe. I think home is just another word for love. Home is such a meaningful place. A sanctuary where all your thoughts shut off and you can just relax. Every feeling you embody, sadness, love, hope, fear, anger that is home even if it doesn't feel like it. Home is a warm embrace, where you don’t have to be perfect, you just have to be. That's what home means to me.
