My Home
At 10 years old I have lived in many different types of places. I have lived in basements, apartments, a condo, and finally- a house. Although the constant moving around was difficult, they all have one thing in common- it is where my family is together, and that is HOME.
Home is not just a place where I stay. It is a place that is filled with memories, love, trust, comfort, and laughter. If I am having a difficult day, I find comfort in being at home, in my room, and around my family and pet. I will eventually get older and have a place of my own. I hope that when I do, I can make it a loving place for my future family just as my parents have done for me.
My childhood home will always hold a special place in my heart. The memories I have from all the places and neighbourhoods I have lived in make me who I am. My home is a place of belonging and acceptance where we all support each other. My home is not just a place made up of 4 walls and roof, but rather a place I consider my haven and sanctuary.
Thank you, Habitat Humanity, for making homes for everyone and helping the community.
