True Home

What defines a home? Some may say it's a roof over your head, but that is just a house, not a home. The truth is, it's where tranquility is made and cherished. Home has its ups and downs, but the key is never losing hope. Home is where you learn from your flaws without fear of retribution, where you are the true you, where you belong and are accepted. A home does not have to be in a mansion; it can be an apartment, condo, or a hotel. A home is like a fragrant flower with sentimental scents. At home, you will find people who will stand by you through everything. If I had to explain to someone what home feels like, I would compare it to a roller coaster. Imagine yourself on a roller coaster. In the beginning, you might feel anxious, scared, or nervous. But you look right and left and see your family with their unfailing love. As the ride begins, it moves slowly, so you might think to yourself, "It is not that bad." Your family warns you, saying, "This is the tip of the iceberg." The roller coaster climbs and reaches the peak; you gaze down, you’re petrified, but your family has not abandoned you. You brace for impact. Everything I wrote is how I see home. Some might say my family has passed away. If this is true, I am so sorry for your loss. You may not see them, but if they could see you, they would be proud of you. Another thing that makes a home are your favorite things. Always remember this: there's a gigantic difference between a home and a house. A house is just a building with furniture inside; a home is where everything starts and ends.
