Home is Where the Heart is

What is a home? People say it is a place with walls, stairs, windows, a roof or a place you live in but that is not true. A home is also not different types of houses like a bungalow, mansion, apartment building or a skyscraper it is a place where you can truly be you. Why is a home important? It is important because you are truly loved and appreciated, you feel like you matter, and you’re encouraged to do what you love. Home is also with the community where you spend time with your neighbor or a friend at the basketball court or a soccer field but a house is just a place where you have chairs to relax. Every person has a different type of home depending on who they are and their religion, but every home has one thing in common you are cherished, embraced and accepted but people with no home or loved ones are horrified. A lot of people have been impacted because of depression and the loss of loved ones and I am so sad that happens to people. It is not just a privilege or that you are the richest person in the world to have a home because a home should be a right. A home is a place you belong and full of love. A home is also a place you eat your favorite or traditional food. God is my home, and my family is too. A home for me is more than a house it is a place where love and laughter are shared. Some people don’t have one, but they can build one with other people like a roommate or other friends. Thank you, Habitat for Humanity for building homes for families.
