Habitat for Humanity: Writing about Home

Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization in the country of Canada who helps families in need of affordable housing. Their mission is to have a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live. Since it started in 1985, it has used the help of donations and volunteers to assist 4,309 families to get a house. Habitat for Humanity owns stores called Habitat ReStore which sell new and used building materials to help raise money. These stores also stop a significant amount of materials from going into landfills. Habitat for Humanity has received many donations from big companies like the Home Depot, the Shaw Family Foundation, CTV, several Radio stations, the Calgary Foundation and even the Government of Alberta. I love my home because it is a peaceful and quiet escape from the outside world. It is a safe place for me to relax and recharge from life. I can decorate or clean my room however I like. My second reason I love my spectacular home is because I have freedom! I have freedom to play piano, play ukulele, eat a snack, 3D print or play a game. I can call a friend to visit or have a calming nap. My final and most important reason is I have family and friends who love and support me. I can laugh, talk and relax with my family and friends. If I need a hug from my loved ones or a good laugh with my friends, I always know I can find it at home. Home is a wonderful, quiet, tranquil place where you can relax, refill your energy, or do activities you enjoy. All people, no matter who you are, deserve a safe place to call home. I believe Habitat for Humanity is really important and they are giving their full effort in their significant mission for safe, decent housing for everyone.
