In My Home and in My Heart

I come home from school, and I open the door I see my whole family they mean so much more I lie on my bed, and I feel a sudden softness Then I look in the mirror and I know I look gorgeous. I announce to my family the show has begun I twist and I turn, and I fall on my bum. My parents come over and I feel a warm hug My dog try’s to comfort me and but she gives me a nudge A home maybe clean and a polished floor But home I can be loved and feel so much more Thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for giving people more than a house But giving them a home and a bunch of new routes
