My Special Place

To me, home is not just a place that you adjust to your comfort, it is also a magical place that is filled with many fun adventures waiting to be explored! Things that I like to do, hear, smell, and enjoy in my home are… Playing with my brothers. The smell of pancake breakfast. The sound of laughter and joy. The clicking of Lego being built. The screams of joy when being tickled. The beautiful sound of the birds chirping outside my window in the morning. When I hear my dog barking, only on the days I get to sleep in. The raging when my brothers lose to me playing Mario Kart. The almost silent purrs of my cats when I scratch their ears. The ripping of wrapping paper on my family members' birthdays. When I hear the sound of the exhaust on the snowmobile. When I bounce on the trampoline. When I sled down the toboggan hill. When I crashed into a tree after I went down our tallest hill. When I play king of the castle on the giant snow hill in my yard. When I smell freshly baked banana bread. When I smell my clothes right after they get out of the dryer. When I hear the ting of a baseball bat hitting the ball. When I see all the different wildlife come through my yard. When I hear the annoying chirp of my alarm telling me it's time to go to school. I love my home for what it is and it will always be something special in my life no matter how old I get!
