What Home Means to Me

A lot of people think a home and a house are the same thing. News Flash: They’re not. I like to think about it like a house is the building and a home is more where you live. So let me tell you about my home. My home is more like a home to me in the morning with everyone in their beds, my parents sleeping, my sister reading and my aunt on Instagram.my home is the place to be. My home is more like a home to me with our fake fireplace. It uses no fire or gas at all, and gives off zero heat, but changes colour for us to see. My home is the place to be. My home is more like a home with all the different temperatures in the house. From my parents’ boiling bedroom to my freezing cold basement, my home is the place to be. My home is more like a home to me with all the smells around. Something is always cooking, whether the food is chicken, fried eggs or rice. My home is the place to be. My family makes my home more like a home, staying together, sharing love, making memories and being there for each other. Home isn’t just a solid structure; home is where your heart is! This is what home means to me.
