The Feeling of Home

The Feeling Of Home BY: Aanya Kapsime Believe it or not, a home is more than just a house. In fact, a home actually doesn’t even have to be a house. Whether it’s a grand mansion or a tiny apartment, what really matters is how you feel at home. You should feel loved and safe. A home should be a place where you can relax and recharge. It’s a place where you can be yourself, where you can make memories. For me, home is where I cherish all the love, and all the respect I get. I value my home as a place where I feel like I belong, a place where my heart feels at ease. One of the most important parts of a home is family. When I come home, I’m looking forward to a big hug from my little sister, I’m looking forward to my mom’s amazing cooking, I’m looking forward to studying with my dad, and I’m looking forward to just spending time with my family. Imagine if you didn’t have a cozy, comfortable place to live. Well if you didn’t know, one in eight people don’t have affordable homes. But, thanks to Habitat For Humanity Canada, people are getting a safe place to live. I’m very thankful that I have a place to live and to be myself. I hope that everybody can have a happy and comfortable home. Home is the place where you want to go when the world gets too busy. And that’s what we call… The feeling of Home!
