What Home Means to Me

To me, home means a comfy, warm space and my dog. A home is special to me because it’s a place where I can relax and play when I'm at home. I feel zen and happy. Whenever I’m at home, my dog gives me hugs and makes me feel very happy. To be comfy and relaxed, I need to be somewhere I feel safe. The only place I fully feel safe is my home. Home is very important to me because home is where my family is. Sometimes I feel like I don’t belong with other kids. Sometimes, I just want to escape people. My home helps me escape that. Home makes me feel good in many ways. Once in a while I feel down, and being at home helps me escape that. Home does not have to be my home because home is where my family is. Home is a place I can play with friends. I would love to have more friends but I am happy that I have any at all. I used to be very talkative but now I don’t have as much confidence. I am more shy than I used to be, and now it is hard for me to make friends. When I am at home I feel like I can be more me and I don’t feel as restricted to bury my personality. Home means a lot to me for many reasons, but most of all it is where I belong the most.
