Homes and Houses: Similar yet Different

A house is a physical shelter. A home, perhaps walls and a roof. Yet, it does not have to be… a structure. Could just be where you feel comfortable, secure, peaceful. Houses are something you own, though you may not own a home. A house is where you live, though you may not necessarily live in a home. Usually, a house will have personal belongings. A house stays in one place. A home can move. Homes, houses, could alternate. You may have one house, but you could have many homes. A home is where you feel welcome. Though a house could be dark, gloomy, scary. A house is in a community. A home could be a community. Or a room, gym, treehouse, alleyway you like, your family, and much more. You may have the same house as your parents, although you might not have the same home. Without a house you might feel vulnerable. Yet without a home you may not feel cheerful, secure. A house is temporary, A home is permanent. A house is a desire, a home is a necessity.
