A Home is not Just a House

My birds chirping in the morning, my mom warning me it is cold, that is home. A home is not just a house. Putting on a sweater to feel cozy, that is home. A home is not just a house. I rush upstairs to eat breakfast, my legs tap the chair while I wait for eggs and bacon, that is home. A home is not just a house. I go to the sink to get a drink in my favorite PJs, and I savor the water, that is home. A home is not just a house. I watch the stars as cars pass, I see a shiny one that moves fast, that is home. A home is not just a house. I go inside to go to bed, the sound of my birds bouncing off the walls, that is home. A home is not just a house. I hug my parents and go brush my teeth, the taste of mint hits my teeth, I make my bed and watch tv, that is home. A home is not just a house I fall asleep to my calming tv, my mind resets and so does my body, everything is blank like paper, that is home. A home is not just a house!
