When I Was Young in the Philippines

When I was young in the Philippines, I loved playing with my cousins. Sometimes we would go to waterparks and sometimes we would also go to amusement parks and sometimes go to the sea. I saw coral reefs, deep waters and I think some small islands. When I was young in the Philippines I had so many family members to visit. My cousins, my Lolo, Lola, Kuya, Ate, Tito, Tita, Bunso, and there's still more. I also have a lot of friends there. They also still live there and I'm hoping to visit them again. When I was young in the Philippines, I always would go and visit my other cousins. We would always go to lots of fun places! When I was young in the Philippines, I played with my cousins a lot but of course we cleaned after. But usually we played outside so we didn't have to clean up. I have lots of fun with them, I get to go somewhere with them which makes it more fun! When I was young in the Philippines, the food was very unique because there were a lot of different types of food. It's called the “balat” I think, there's food like it in the Philippines, there’s still more more I haven't tried including the balat like kinilaw, chicharron, and halo-halo, I’m thinking of trying halo-halo because it’s like ice cream! And still more, there is also kare-kare, torta, dinuguan, that I still haven’t tried. Food is basically a culture in the Philippines. When I was young in the Philippines, I visited lots of my cousins, because of that I heard lots of noises from animals like cats hissing or mewing, dogs barking, and sometimes even gouts I passed, I think. It's been a long time sants i’ve been there. It’s also sad to think of them being strays but fortunately most of them are not strays. I also heard chickens, birds, and when i’m with my other cousins on their house streets, there were a lot of cars so when i’m there I heard honking because the roads were full of cars, cars driving past, and lots of people talking. When I was young in the Philippines, I played so much I had little time to relax. But to me playing with my cousins is already enough, to me that’s what relaxing means to me. But also the times I get to relax is when I'm eating, sleeping, or when the games are over. When I was young in the Philippines, I never wanted to go anywhere. I never wanted to miss the fun. I never wanted to leave and find a new place because the Philippines is where my cousins are. The Philippines is my HOME away from HOME.
