My House Is Not My Home

My house is a building with stairs and walls but my home is much much more than that. My home is a place where I feel safe. Having my house is having a bed and a fireplace but having my home is having people and family that love me. When I go to my bed and my loving parents come to cuddle me I feel like I belong. My house feels like a plain box but my home feels like a warm hug. My home is where memories are made. Some of my memories that are made in my home are when my family had to live in our garage when we got our reno done. My house has a big yard and lots of room to run around. When I walk into my house I see a tv and chairs but when I walk into my home I see my loving family and my dog who jumps up and greets me. When my dog comes to greet me I feel love and warmth. My home can be filled with anger and sadness at times but more often it is filled with laughter and joy. My house won't last forever but I know my home will. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for building houses for people that may of lost theirs. You are making a better world by giving people the chance to have a home in those houses. You can help Habitat for Humanity by donating money and telling other people about it.
