What Home Means to Me

Home to me means a place where I can feel good about myself. It's a place that welcomes me for who I am. When I was little I had to move out of the home I was first born in and it took a lot of time to get comfortable in the new house but after a few years I got more and more comfortable. I feel that my home is like my own safe box, it has so many spaces for new memories and a place that I can hide in. Home to me is wherever my family is and where I feel loved. I had a dog named Callie that always made me feel at home but when she passed away it felt like my home was so uptight and dark. Home is my room because it's soft, warm and comfortable. It's a place where I can get away from everybody and just read. It is also my living room because I can talk to everybody there and they will listen to me. Home is with a dog because they always make me feel so welcome and happy. Home is also my closet because It's dark and a place where nobody can find me and because it smells really good there. That is what home means to me.
