Emily's Story

Emily’s Story Emily was a girl. I'm sorry to say she would always complain about her house all day. She would yell “I hate this house”. Emily always wanted a new and improved house. Back in the day, she used to love her house until her mother passed away. Now she hates everything about her house. She wishes to move far from her house so she can stop having the painful memories. After a lot of nagging, her father finally said they can buy a new house. Emily was so happy she was jumping and screaming with joy. The next day, she was on her way to town looking at new houses. It was noon when Emily started feeling home sick. She missed the natural and minty scent and her posters she hung on her wall. Most of all, she missed the family portrait in her living room. Then she told her dad the unexpected “I don’t want to buy a house anymore.” And after that day she never complained about her house again. David’s Story In a town way different from Emily's, David lived. Unlike Emily, David loved his house. He thought everything was perfect until his parents decided that they would be moving. “Noo!” yelled David. “I don’t want to move”. But a few weeks later, David was at his new house. When they got there, David tried to talk his parents into moving back. But it was no use. His Mom said “this is your new home now.” “This is a house not a home” he shot back. But a few months later, David started to really like his house. His mom noticed and said “I guess we should move back home because this is just a house.” But David replied by saying “ I am home.”
