What Home Means To Me

I believe that everyone should have a home for the following reasons. Firstly everyone should have a place they feel safe and protected. Secondly, everyone should feel relaxed and at peace as I am when I'm at home. Thirdly, everyone should have a place where they could hang out with their loved ones. Without a home you won't have comfort and privacy. Everyone should have a safe, peaceful and special place for them, like me and my home. My home separates me from the world, internet and what’s going on. It also lets me do things I want to do, for example, talk to my family privately and safely. Always coming home to one of my family members opening the doors with a smile and knowing that it’ll make me feel happiness, care, love and most importantly it puts a big exciting and happy smile on my face. I feel safe,loved, knowing that I have privacy and most importantly knowing that I’ll wake up to a beautiful day and have loving and caring family everywhere. Coming home to a sweet smell of new, fresh home air. Maybe coming home tired to see a cozy sofa in the living room that you can sleep on immediately. I want everyone to feel this warmth, comfort and love wherever they go. Everyone should feel safe, relaxed and at peace like me. People should feel a sense of peace around them and in them. They should feel the warmth of the blankets when they sleep at night. The cozy and soft sofa in the living room. When they take a step in their house they should feel the security and the safeness that a home has. A home should feel a safe place to them. They should feel at home and know that their home is a safe, exciting, loving and caring place.I want them to feel safe every time they watch TV. I want them to feel safe in their home. Coming home from a rainy day no rain drops dripping on you. Always coming home to a warm heater in your home and a cold drink of water with ice in it and jumping on your soft warm bed making you fall asleep .I’m always coming home to a sweet smell of food that my mom makes. Also coming home to a fun family that is always smiling. I don't want all that only for me, I want it for everyone else out there. I want them to feel safe in their own homes. Some people don’t have any places to hang with their family, some homeless people might have deceased family members and maybe they want to keep objects of memories of them. A home could change all that, for example there’s so much space you could put your family stuff like in your bedroom, living room, and even your dining/ kitchen. You might even make new friends in the neighborhood and even you might think of your friends like a second family. I know that I can’t live a day without my friends. Imagine waking up and going to school and you have no one to talk with, no one to hang with, and no one to share stuff with. Not seeing the smile on my mom's face when I get back from school, not even smelling the sweet aroma of food coming from the kitchen. Not coming and not seeing all of these stuff I said will feel like a torture for me. I want everyone to feel safe and love wherever they go. All of these are perfect reasons why houseless people need support. It is my strong opinion that everyone needs comfort , privacy, Family and friends, and most importantly a home.
