What Home Means to Me

Home feels like a warm, safe, and laughter-filled place where my family and I can always embrace. It is not a structure with 4 walls, a roof, and a door. It is something I don’t call a house anymore. Home is where the heart is, and friendly faces. It is a sanctuary where my family and I have our own different spaces. A house has some furniture, and everything is just plain. But home is where my family and I meet up to play our favorite game. In my home, there are memories in the making, and one of them is me and my mom in the kitchen baking. Everyone should own a home, where they can have fun, relax, and roam. Habitat for Humanity builds homes for the better, while I’m writing this poem, letter by letter.
