The Meaning of Home

A home is a place unlike the others, Though some may seem like empty buildings holding a kin, They are far from being ordinary shelters, As they hold the affection of a family within. A home is an environment where all feel cherished, A place where the idea of being loved can never perish The sanctuary of love, warmth, and care, That separates some from being bare. Though some may argue that not all homes must prosper love, And that a home doesn’t have to embody a dove, Those few homes may not be homes at all, They might just be structures, standing tall. Though some may lack the privilege of having a place of residence, A home isn’t something that lacks their presence, As the meaning of home isn’t necessarily a building where you abide, It's simply where you find comfort, and where you reside. Thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for homes full of grace, With hard work and dedication, you’ve helped make the world a better place.
