My Meaning of Home

Now some people may not agree, but that’s alright. This is MY meaning of home. Home can be many different things. For some people, it can be an apartment or a GINORMOUS mansion. But that’s not the point, the point is no matter how big or small or, tall and short your home is. It’s still where you feel safe, loved, trusted, stable and protected every one of those feelings. Home can’t just be given to you, it’s a feeling. For you to feel welcome and like you belong. Every small thing in your home has its own meaning, like my dad’s music that’s how I know he is going to cook. Home is where you can be YOU. Where life just feels better, where memories of the past bring joy or sadness. Home is so much more than a word, it’s a whole bunch of feelings, family and a lot more spilled out and put into one place. Home is where you can belong, express yourself, feel loved. Home is your own personal place and that’s my meaning of home. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for giving other people a chance for a safe place to stay.
