Home is Special

Feeling welcome or comfortable or safe and protected, is basically what home is all to me. My brother is never doing something that is not related to soccer, playing soccer itself or playing video games related to soccer. Making food or helping my Brother with homework, my LEGENDARY MOM is mostly chatting though. My super strong and smart, who everybody LOVES-dad is mostly on work trips all the time so I don’t know what he is doing. I spend most of the time at home doing classes or eating or taking the trash out or playing video games or practicing Piano. It’s also not a real place, it’s more like my favourite things all jumbled up in one place. And my mom and I also are the best bakers in our family. It’s also eating a Colombian dish called “El Bandeja Paisa”. Sometimes I feel like baking cake, or cupcakes, or cookies, because I honestly REALLY like baking. My favourite food is my mom’s lasagna which has a million different tastes which I REALLY like. Home to me means the memories we experience. Changing languages and learning new things. It’s flipping through different memories and experiencing old things. It’s remembering what it took to get to this country and remembering that we are all the same family. Sometimes we might not want to be nice to our family but in the end, we all get what we want. It’s remembering your childhood if you’re past that. It’s playing around with your siblings and family, it’s having as much fun as possible. Home is feeling welcome or comfortable or safe and protected and finally home is having as much fun as you want. It’s being yourself.
