Meaning of Home

Home is a place where you feel cozy and comfortable, safe and loved. To me, home is my cottage, where waves crash, seagulls caw, and happy laughter spreads throughout the room. A home is not just a big box with a roof over your head and a few windows and doors; it's where memories are made, fresh cookies are baked, and family gatherings happen. It doesn't matter if your home is just a small shack in a little town or even a huge mansion in New York; it's about the people that surround you. I love my home because I have so many people surrounding me, like my grandparents up the hill and my cousins right next door. I love having them there with me, and I am so grateful for that. We go for dinner almost every night, up at my grandparents. And one fine day, we were waiting for supper, when my grandmother asked us to take some cookies over to their neighbors. We said yes, even though it was pouring cats and dogs and there was thunder and lightning. So we grabbed a few umbrellas and we started to march across the field. At that time, my sister was quite small, and the wind was so, so strong, she almost flew away like Mary Poppins. Finally, we had dropped off the cookies, and we enjoyed a wonderful dinner. My home isn't just buildings; it's also the beach across the street where I go swimming every day during the summer. There is also a canteen up the street where we go for some delicious ice cream. My favorite is sea salt caramel. I love all the chunks of chocolate and caramel. It's so refreshing on a hot summer day, and it brings the whole family together. Home isn't just about having a roof over your head - it's about the special moments that make you smile. When I think about my home, I think about the salty air from the ocean, the warm cookies at my grandparents' house up the hill, and the sound of my family's laughter echoing through our cottage. Whether I'm splashing in the waves at the beach across the street, or just listening to the seagulls on a quiet morning, I know I'm exactly where I belong. My home by the sea might have sandy floors and salty breeze, but it's filled with love, memories, and the people who make every day special. That's what makes it perfectly home to me every night, up at my grandparents.
