Home through storms
“ Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh no!” Thunk! Crash! I hear the window shatter. I struggle to get out of the car after hitting a snowbank.
The snow is up to at least my knees. Luckily, I have extra snow pants just in case. They are a little small, but I am not concerned about that right now. When I get out of the car, a shiver runs down my spine. I walk for what feels like four hours, but it is only two miles. I can finally see a house that is not mine. My face lights up! I reached the first house on our street. I can hear the voices in my head saying we're almost there. I don't stop. I arrived at my house. I am so glad I am finally here. I pant for air. I get a cup of hot chocolate and turn on the fireplace. Mom called and she asked if I was home. I replied with a “yes,”and Mom asks if she can come over. I say yes. I call my four sisters Carly, Chelsea, Sophia, and even Stella. Ding dong! I get the door, and mom is here! “Mom, I haven't seen you in forever!” I’m back from my long trip to California.” “Well, come in, sit down, Ding dong. Mom asks “Who is that?” It is one of the 4 sisters. Or all of them, who knows. “Carly hi! Come in, sit down! Oh, yah! Now we are all here, even mom. I remember what happened an hour ago. I am so thankful for a great family to spend time with and a house to be together in. Mom is trying to get all the kids together so we can eat. Mom is praying. Mom says this is delicious food I say thanks.
